Ownership News: A Not So Miserable $9 Buck Cup

Our sources were correct when they told us that the deal with Jeffrey Moorad would be finalized soon. It happened this afternoon.

The next step will be the ousting of Czar Alderson, which we're told will happen much sooner than later. We will miss the weekly grilling he received from Darren Smith each week on the Alderson Report.

This is fantastic news. Even though our chances of rebounding from last year's abysmal showing are not that great, the new blood should help in at least generating a spark of interest in the 2009 edition of the San Diego Padres.

How about this for a reason.....perhaps the team sale to Jeffrey Moorad will be finalized sooner than expected which could lead to the dismissal of certain individuals who would ordinarily be inclined to remove the ubiquitous posters of players past. That's what my sources say.
