What a great quote!
A brutally honest self-assessment. We wonder if he cracked a sideways smirk as he said it? We can live with it either way as long as the bravado is accompanied with QB pressure.....Cromartie won't survive this season without it.

Atta Boy Merriman, well said. Can't wait to see him back on the field. LIGHTS OUT is coming to a city near you.
Our division QB's better keep their heads on a swival, but sounds like CUTler will not be in our division to feel the wrath.
I e-mailed the UT's Kevin Acee regarding the quote...here's the email and Acee's reply.
Kevin
Please tell me that when Merriman made the, "I feel great, and I look amazing," quote, that he was laughing when he said it....kind of like a Zoolander-esque, "I'm really, really, ridiculously good looking.", jokey sort of paraphrase.....
......please say he used a Zoolander voice.
I suppose it really doesn't matter....
Acee then replied...
"Merriman is Merriman.
So far, he's backed up his bravado. No one should have a problem with it."
Like I said, I guess it doesn't matter but in trying to picture myself saying that quote there's no way I could do it with a straight face...and without a straight face I would have gone the Zoolander route.
