Housing Market Bad..... Sports Radio Worse
We recall listening to the Bleacher Bums last week ( forced to do it! long drive...sports addicted...XTRA 1360 didn't tune in...) and they continued to maintain that they did not believe that LT would be returning, which is their opinion and that's fair. Part of their supporting argument was that LT's ego was too big to accept a pay-cut which made for a fairly weak rationale. Are they in LT's inner-circle? What was strange however was how they continued to maintain that LT would not return but qualified the opinion with the following remark:
"WE want LT to stay with the Chargers."
So were Jordan and Earl happy when the LT restructuring news came in? Apparently not. Jordan has spent the last two days talking about LT's ear rings and style, damning his community work, proclaiming that LT has accomplished NOTHING because there is no Lombardi trophy in SD, and worst of all.............insulting San Diego fans and residents alike. Is it professional to say that your listeners, "suck!"?
Where does he think he's broadcasting? Is this not San Diego? Are we not San Diegans? Are we so apathetic that we could accept this sort of treatment?
These are questions for us all to ponder....

At the time of this post we were not aware that the Dynamic Douche-o had been suspended. Glorious! Darren Smith had to listen to callers complain and then LT's business manager came on the air to talk about all of the texts he received regarding Jordan's comments about LT's charity work. In case you didn't hear:
“I'm listening to Mama LT this morning with Scott and BR, and God bless them, too, bringing up the turkeys again – do me a favor, stick the turkeys up your ass. I don't care about the turkeys. I don't care about your charity.”
After Darren's show was inundated with complaints the Coach took over the barrage of comments. Nice job Bums...

I missed the comments by those knuckleheads regarding LT Wednesday afternoon (something about LT's mom and turkeys?). I don't usually listen to Scott and B.R., but I came into work early today. They were talking about the controversy surrounding the Bleacher Bums and were going to play a clip of the nasty comments that were made, but Hal Brown shut them down, saying he's sick of hearing it (is he the producer or something? where does Brown get that authority to tell Scott and B.R. what they can or can't play on their show?). And, looking for more info on the net about it is how I found your blog.
I read the original "What the hell..." blog and all the comments. And, I completely concur. When the Bleacher Bums came on during Christmas week, I was like, "What the hell is this crap?" And, I just figured they were the holiday replacement for the regulars (I knew Bill Werndl was getting canned, and good riddance). But, the next week, there they still were. And I thought, "No way is this the new afternoon drive team. What was John Lynch thinking?" At the very least, he should have put these two Bozos on the late evening shift. Certainly they shouldn't be on such an important time slot as the afternoon drive.
Since I do like sports talk radio, I gave them a listen and started to kind of like the show. But, after a few weeks of them getting their asses tongued by their callers and their excessive fawning all over the military callers, I just thought they were getting totally full of themselves. And, I started getting sick of hearing that whiny bitch Earl "keepin' it real" and chastising anyone who didn't agree with his opinions (if I hear "ooh-rah, devil dog" one more time ...). And, that goofy-ass Jordan's voice was really getting on my nerves (I really dislike all things New York). I actually just turned off the radio for a couple weeks during that time slot.
Well, they may have stuck their feet so far into their mouths that they talked themselves out of a job with their comments about LT yesterday. The majority of calls on Scott and B.R. this morning were apparently about how pissed everyone was about the Bleacher Bums. And, Hal Brown was non-committal about whether the Bleacher Bums would be on the air today when he was going over the adjusted schedule because of the ball game. Darren Smith avoided the subject altogether during his hour before the Padres game. But, it will be interesting to see if he addresses it after the game (he did say something about he'll be on from after the game until 5 PM, but he may be on longer than that - I believe "whatever it takes" is the comment he made).
Maybe Lynch will wise up and put the coach on for the afternoon drive. He's easily the best and most knowledgeable personality at that station. We can only hope.

Hal Brown is the station manager (or some other higher-up bullshit title like that). Regardless, he is a decision maker.
If action is not taken it will be up to us to begin boycotting XX1090's sponsorship as it appears that John Lynch Sr's attitude is, "Change the channel to EXTRA 1360".
That is, as they say, "...bush league bullshit!"
I have contacted one sponsor so far ...let's see what happens.

This sounds as though it is more then outrageous. If ol Lynch Senior was playing with a full deck these bleacher bums would find themselves jobless living under some high school bleachers in east county. Do the right thing Senior Lynch.

You're lucky you don't have to listen to these guys. They were actually suspended for two days so we'll see what happens.
If you want to feel our pain go to XX1090 and give it a listen.....it's straight shite, though.
The new commenting section on the UT is a joke....its down every other day. So I'll comment here....Bleacher Bums suck.
