It Was A Good Death

It was a good death. Bill was slaughtered this morning and in the Christian and Buddhist traditions we have decided to eulogize him by offering prayers for the sustenance he will provide our people.

Bless us, O Lord,
and these Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive
from Thy bounty,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

This food is the gift of the whole universe -
the earth, the sky, and much hard work.
May we live in a way that makes us worthy to receive it.
May we transform our unskillful states of mind,
especially our greed.
May we take only foods that nourish us
and prevent illness.
We accept this food so that we may realise the path of practice.

that was an all-phase ass-kicking. I'm just sorry a sweep didn't take out Belichick on the sideline. But that's just me.....

Sirs,

Today was the day we've waited for, and we were rewarded as Ladainian Himself prophesied. I hope you enjoyed the game as much as I enjoyed reveling in the crushing silence emanating forth from Longboard's. I look forward to sharing the rest of a successful season with a group of gentlemanly scholar Chargers fans such as yourselves.

Sincerely,

Eddie E

Congrats- You beat us in a semi-meaningless game without Tom Brady, Lawrence Maroney and Ben Watson ...

Maybe some day you will beat our real team in a real playoff game that counts ...

The only semi-meaningless part of that game was the role Randy Moss played. I guess I would call it a semi meaningless season too if one of my teams top players couldn't play for the year.

Oh wait, we lost our top defensive player and still smoked the Patriots.

Actually, Boston Irish is right. I mean, imagine if the Chargers played the patriots while Phillip Rivers had a torn ACL, and Ladainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates were out with injuries. That game shouldn't count.

Oh wait, that's EXACTLY what happened in last year's AFC championship game. But yeah, maybe someday the patriots can play the REAL Chargers in playoffs, and we'll see what happens. I'd guess we'll only win by 14 instead of 20. See you in January!
