Glass Half Full or....

And the Chargers win. A win is a win, no?

There are many however, who find themselves buried in misery with the quality of the win against the lowly team from Kansas City.
Fair enough...your glass is half empty.

That statement may lead you to infer that my glass is half full.....well sort of. I actually would like to think of it as follows: My Mixed Fruit Platter is Half Full. Surely an explanation is required for those who failed to watch The Ultimate Fighter reality show on Spike TV last Wednesday so here it goes:

  • Fighters put in a grocery list of the food they want each day. A nicely packaged mixed fruit platter, for instance.
  • The order arrives to the house for each and every fighter.
  • In Theory... you wouldn't eat someone else's food because you can just put in the order yourself....anything you want!
  • In Practice...fighters are dicks and like to fuck with each other by eating each other's food.
  • In Practice...the best payback is to.... sabotage your own food to teach the food thieves a lesson?
  • In Practice...a mixed fruit platter full of your team's URINE will surely do the trick.
  • In Reality...at the end of the day you'll have 1/2 of your Mixed Fruit Platter remaining. But are you really happy with that? No!!! It's a fruit cocktail full of piss, for God's Sake!

That's kind of the way we feel about yesterday's victory....it's a win but boy is there a foul taste in our mouths. Nobody could be truly happy with yesterday' victory unless they subscribe to the thought process of Fight Club's Tyler Durden:

"Urine is sterile...you can drink it."

What else can you even say?

So for Sunday November 11th we find that our Mixed Fruit Platter is Half Full and we're not too happy about it.

postscript:
It was very funny when the mixed martial artists slobbered all over the pineapple and the warm but bitter accompanying marinade. You should have seen what those freaks did to the California Rolls....yea, no lie...check out the replay on Spike.
